We choose the method to suit the installation. In large properties with several circuits (house, pool, irrigation, underfloor heating), we first isolate each one to find where the water is being lost, then locate the exact spot.
A geophone picks up the sound of water escaping from a pressurised pipe. It locates the leak under marble, natural stone or wooden floors without lifting them, which is essential in Marbella’s luxury homes.
We fill the pipe with a harmless mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen, which escapes through the break and is detected at the surface. It is the ideal method for long supply pipes, buried irrigation and pipes under gardens or lawns.
A thermal imaging camera shows temperature differences in floors and walls. We use it to trace the underfloor heating and hot water circuits in villas and apartments and see where moisture is building up.
We run a camera through downpipes, drains and inspection chambers to find breaks, roots or displaced joints, which are common on plots with large gardens and mature trees.

To be sure, try the bucket test: fill a bucket with pool water, place it on a step and mark the level inside and outside.
